An old Appachistani mystic, he was Xavier’s childhood mentor. Though abusive, he raised Xavier to teenhood. Between beatings, he taught Xavier the ways of the land, and how to please Nature. From behind.

Chief Master Guru is a supposed Native American shaman that took Xavier in when he was orphaned and taught him the ways of life and the land and was Xavier's child mentor. Despite Xavier willing to learn, Chief Master Guru was often abusive, hurtful, and cruel and on one occasion, faked his death to get rid of Xavier.
